Ellison is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since 2016. Prior to graduate school in 2016, she had 11 years of experience as a nurse in a variety of medical settings. She earned her Bachelors in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2005, where she earned the honor of Nurse Scholar Award in her class, and earned her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of North Georgia. In addition, she is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor society. Ellison is a wife and mother of two, she is active in her community, and enjoys spending time in her garden.
